How to Make Dubaiza Jam

Legacy of Hijazi region

It is a type of jam that is served alongside breakfast on the first day of Al-Fiter. It is a well-known legacy in the Hijazi region, and each lady of the house makes her own dubaiza or buys it from homemade businesses. With all of the healthful nuts and dried fruits, I think it’s incredibly tasty and nutritious. I’ll show you how to make it in these easy steps. The key ingredients are Qamar al-Din and other things that I will discuss shortly, so without further ado, how do we make dubaiza jam?

Ingredients:

First, we need the following nuts:

  1. Almonds.
  2. Cashew.
  3. Pistachio.
  4. Walnuts.

Second, the dried fruits like:

  1. Raisins.
  2. Apricot.
  3. Fig.

Some flavorings:

  1. Three Cardamom
  2. Cinnamon stick
  3. A spoonful of kadhi water

Oil

Sugar

Finally, the main ingredient the Qamar al-Din.

How to make dubaiza jam?

  1. Soak the qamar aldin in boiling water for about 3 hours.
    2. Mix qamar aldin using a mixer.
    3. To prepare the almonds, boil them in hot water for five minutes to remove the skin.
    4. In a pot, add oil until it is heat, then add almonds. Mix until golden, then remove the almonds.
    5. Repeat the process for each type of nut separately.
    6. Repeat with the dried fruits, adding one type at a time until all nuts and dried fruits are thoroughly fried.
    7. In a pot, combine the qamar aldin juice, cardamom, cinnamon stick, and kadhi water.
    8. Bring the mixture to boil.
    9. Put the nuts, dried fruits, and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
    10. Reduce heat and cover the pot with a lid. Stir from time to time.
    11. After 45 minutes, turn off the stove, let it cool, and transfer to a clean, sterilized container.
