How to stay organized after trying everything?

I guess that a lot of us, are thinking that staying organized be like a mission can be done only by a witch. Because they can do wonder!

I’m not that organized person, although I’m trying my best to do so. It is important in my day to organized things and release my mindset of keeping tasks in my brain.

I’m just kind of person who are buying physical organizer and count on OneNote passion to organize tasks and calendar as well.

The problem is that getting organized for some time then you will find yourself.  Deviate from the way, and go back to chaos again!

This post is for you, to help you make yourself stay organized. After trying everything.

There are many options for organizing:

These varieties of options that you can stick with, to try which one is work best for you.

What methods of organizational is work for you?

  1. Do you like digital organizer?
  2. Or using whiteboard or corkboard?
  3. Or writing in a physical planner help?

The thing is most are visual and they need to directly see the organizer or else the tasks will be forgotten. Also, the problem again it is in front of us for a long time, then again we will forget about it and accomplish nothing!

It just need a balance somehow:

Well, the method that you supposed to choose it, is suit your job. If you are a secretary like me, well you need to have a physical planner to jot down what’s important things to do. As well as, if you are a boss, or someone in an office job. All of us need to organize our thoughts, and collect thoughts before it is fly with the wind of the forgotten land!

The question is what for?

The reason that I’m thinking of is that your ideas and thoughts, what you are would like to do, are stay organized.

By sticking to this way, if one methods begins to fail, you have already other options.  Every one of us is different, therefore, our way to organize things will be different too.

Selecting one organizing approach:

Start by asking yourself which methods you would like to start with? That make you feel organized already. To answer this question. You need to consider the followings:

  1. The easiest organizational methods.
  2. Least steps.
  3. The most practical.

Because if your method is convoluted and difficult to implement, it will not help you and will just make things worse. We occasionally wish for a difficult, aesthetically pleasing organizational tool. However, it frequently ends up being overwhelming.

It is wise to keep things simple.

When you become bored, proceed to the next method:

To be honest you may not realize that you are bored with your current organizational method until your table is a mess and you cannot find anything. But brains love routines as well as challenges. So, if you become bored with your organizational approach and skip even one day of it, that may be all you need to leave it completely! And this happening without you meaning to!

This means that you want to make the transition from one approach to another as simple as feasible. So simple that you might not even realize you’ve done it.

This may just apply to a limited group of people, but it happened to me! I prefer to keep things digital for me. In addition, I can’t live without my physical planner. However, even some digital ways become tedious, so I go on to the next!

For example, I have an OneNote sheet, but, I get bored with it and switch to Trello for a while. Then, I realized that Trello not what I want to use right now, I may return back to it in the future. As I mentioned before, this transition supposed to be easy and smooth. To be honest I switched without recognizing it.

Use the method that can help you keep organized without the feeling of guilt:

I’m very sure you all went on the internet to find out organizational articles, to try what others had tried, and then you felt guilty because you give up and move on. Or you could have used a way that never worked from the beginning.

Whatever suits you? Does not mean it suit the other, nobody else needs to understand it but you!

To be organized, you must do something that makes sense to you only. Even if you have to alter ways every month. The most important thing is that you work with your brain rather than against it.

Instead of making to-do lists, try this:

Creating a to-do list works for sometimes. But at the end, I noticed myself I made them, then, I avoid everything on the list. Tasks would still get done; they simply wouldn’t be on the list. As a result, I quit making to do-lists. But you know! Things were still completed. Because you know what needs to be done and all you need to do is do it.

However, if you still enjoy crossing items off from your to-do lists and have a look at the end of the day to see your accomplishments. By all means try it. In order to stay organized and making sure that you are on the track.
