Title: Open Your Door with the Kaizen Concept Now Fast

Have you ever stood in front of your door, whether at home or work, and started to pull out that pile of keys from your bag or pocket, searching for the right one to open the door? You might spend too much time until you find the correct key. On top of that, you might be exhausted from a trip to the supermarket, carrying heavy groceries, and just want to get inside as quickly as possible (hypothetically, you don’t really want to crush the door). I think this situation is familiar to some of you. So, what did I do to solve this issue? Well, let’s try the Kaizen concept!

Kaizen is here to help

Most of you are probably familiar with the concept of Kaizen. It is a Japanese word (改善) that means improvement. Kaizen is a philosophy of continuous improvement, and it aims to eliminate waste. To apply this philosophy, first, you have to identify the waste, second, you must recognize the issue, and finally, you implement the solution.

Identifying the Issue

So, getting back to my situation. What is the waste here? The answer is simple: it’s the time I spend searching for my target key. Now that I’ve identified my problem, let’s move on to the solution!

Solution: Color Coding Your Keys

All you need to do is use nail polish that you have at home, preferably old ones, so you don’t feel bad using it. Once you’ve used it, you can treat yourself to a new bottle (link for ladies). Start by coloring the keys one by one. With each color, you’ll now know exactly which key is which, and you can open doors as fast as possible with the help of Kaizen.

Conclusion

Kaizen isn’t just for companies looking to improve processes; it’s a philosophy that can be applied to both our personal and professional lives. By thinking creatively and embracing the Kaizen concept, we can address small issues around us, fostering continuous improvement and eliminating waste. Sometimes, all it takes are small changes to make a big difference.
